Sandy Hippern loves nothing better than a challenge - but there were moments during her latest self-imposed project, she wondered if perhaps she'd taken on too much.
Sandy was where the buck stopped during the building of a lovely seaside home for herself and her husband, Gordon.
"You don't know what you can do, until you do it," she muses. "It was a huge learning curve."
"There were times . . . then Charles would say, 'It's going to be alright.' Thank God for Charles!"
"I so love all the things he did - I love my kitchen - it's such a joy to work in."
"He thinks outside the box - he did a great job," she concludes.
The kitchen island is a striking feature - one that delivers plenty of benefits during meal preparations.
From left, the kitchen is home to a smooth as satin finish and a feast of storage - including the wine rack. This handsome hutch demonstrates Charles Lantz Cabinetry's furniture grade work.
From left, the downstairs bathroom features a CLC vanity, as does the upstairs bathroom on the right. Sandy was particularly delighted with the cozy, built-in bench - perfect for the grandchildren!
