"We found Charles on the Internet," says this Halifax homeowner. At the time, she and her husband were living out of province, with the intention of moving back. "The website was very helpful," she recalls.
"My husband is from Halifax" she adds. "We sent Charles a magazine photo and he worked from
there.
He was very good at following through our vision."
She enjoys cooking, baking and preserving - her Charles Lantz pantry has a collection of bottles filled with her home-made rhubarb chutney, strawberry rhubarb jam, peach preserves . . . The double facing pantries provide plenty of storage. She recalls living in a tiny Montreal apartment for five years - no wonder she loves the pantries!

The CLC kitchen is housed in the new addition. "The countertop is stainless steel. It's great - completely heat-resistant. I knew I wanted a white kitchen. Then the island to be contrasting with a marble countertop"

Builders, installers, painters
The CLC builder and installer for this job were Richard Hirtle and Michael Drew, the painter was Jeff Crouse.
The refit contractor was Blunden Construction of Halifax - they supplied the stainless steel counter for the main kitchen and
the granite top for the island. Smeltzers Upholstery in Tantallon looked after the kitchen nook cushions.
Charles Lantz comments:
"I wish to thank the homeowners for allowing CLC to help build their dream kitchen."
