Christian & Beverly Hackshaw have built three houses and most recently, totally renovated their 4th. They knew right from the start they wanted a Charles Lantz kitchen. "Charles was recommended," says Christian. "We looked at his website."
The emergency physician enjoys carpentry and has worked side-by-side with a contractor in building the couple's three previous homes. Most recently, he totally gutted an older home, right to the bare timber frames. Then put it to rights - with the help of specialty contractors including Charles.
"I drew up the design," he says, "and found the appliances. We gave him free rein for the details - it was a partnership. It was nice working with Charles. He gave us exactly what he said he would at exactly the price he said."

Christian's wife, Beverly is also a doctor - a veterinarian. After checking out veterinary supply outlets, she called on Charles for a reception desk and purpose cabinetry in her hospital. Charles charged less for custom work and installed it more quickly than if she had gone elsewhere.
"The reception area is a small space," she notes, "Charles maximized efficiency - I told him what I wanted, he took some measurements . . . " And she's delighted with the results.
