Oliver and Rosalie Osmond began sourcing an exceptional team to build their dream retirement home at the Halifax Home Show. Likely they were the only attendees who travelled 3,000 miles to get there. "It was well worth it," notes Rosalie with satisfaction. "We got the best Nova Scotia could supply."
Although Rosalie's childhood roots are in the province, she and Oliver raised their family in England where he was a vicar. Every summer but one, since 1966, they returned to Lunenburg County.
Oliver and Rosalie pretty well knew from the get-go Charles Lantz Cabinetry was right for the job. "We were told by our builder Elliot Mosher, he was the person to go to," recalls Rosalie. Family connections and seeing his "beautiful work on the web," only added to CLC's credibility.
"Even our architect met with Charles," Rosalie says. Oliver credits the master builder with improving on
the kitchen's original design. By eliminating an unnecessary exterior door, he delivered far more cabinetry.
"Charles is extremely good with design," he says. "His work is brilliant."
Where most cabinets are home to 90 degree angles, the Osmonds' cabinetry called for some unusual angles - including 77 degrees.
"Our kitchen is stunning - and unique," Rosalie says. She greatly appreciates Charles' signature feature - the pull-out "larder" as seen below.

"The men were very nice to be around," says Rosalie. "Throughout [the build] we were very lucky with our workmen."

Charles Lantz comment
"This is a one-of-a-kind house, well thought out by Rosalie and Oliver. It was simple working with them - they knew what they wanted, right down to the colour. What made it all come together and run smoothly was the Contractor - Thank you Elliot!"
